Bird life and wildlife

The bird life is also very rich and the Kakamega Forest alone is known to have over 500 different bird species perched on over 350 species of trees. The forest has over 27 species of snakes.
The Mountains.
Treks and mountain climbing are an integral part of the options available for the adventure seeker coming to Kenya. The majestic Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest at 5895m high and offers a unique treat for the mountaineer.
On Mount Kenya, Africa's second highest peak you have the opportunity to get to Point Lenana (4985m) or Point Nelion (5188m) or Point Batian (5199m)
