Have lunch and depart for game drive at 16.00pm to see lots of different species of animals and birds. Watch a beautiful African sunset and get back to the camp at 1900hrs for 2000hrs dinner which will be prepared by our chef. 5:30am wake up, have tea/coffee, rusks/cereals and depart for a long game drive that will take us up to hippo pools where we will see large pods of hippos yawning and playing. Khwai area is my favorite place for the leopards, so we must have high expectations. After a long drive get back to the camp for brunch which will be ready for us. After that is siesta time, you may update your dairies or do the laundry in the bush. 15:30pm tea/coffee and 1600hrs we depart for game drive which will take us through to Khwai loop where we will see a lot of animals. A lot of times I encounter wildogs on Khwai loop, so chances are there to find them. After sunset we head back to the camp for dinner at 2000hrs. Day 8 - 9 Savuti We depart to Savuti which is part of Chobe national park. It is called Savuti because a certain chief called Savute used to live there with his tribe. On the way we will see the migration of zebras and wildebeest which will be coming back from the Makgadikgadi salt pans after the rains. Tawny eagles can be seen soaring in the sky as we go. The drive is a bit longer from Moremi to Savuti, which is about 6 hours to the campsite, however the drive is much enjoyable as you will see lots of birds and animals on the way. The scenery is amazing and very African looking, with lots of acacia tortilis (Mosu in Setswana) with giraffe feeding and many more including the most photographed bird, lilac breasted roller a national bird of Botswana. You will not resist from taking a picture of it, it’s the most beautiful bird in Africa. We arrive in time for lunch; we then set up camp, then siesta. We depart for game drive at 16oohrs, enjoy the beautiful Savuti marsh where we see vast herds of zebras and wildebeest and also have an opportunity top see pairs of kori bastards which are the heaviest flying birds. We get back to camp after sunset for a lovely dinner around the camp fire. An early morning tea/coffee, rusks then depart for game drive along the Savuti channel. Although the channel is dry there is a lot of game to see because there are lots of tall trees along the river bed, animals like to hang around. We also drive to Savuti marsh where we have an opportunity to track the cheetah because of the vast open grassland, their mostly preferred habitat. Get back for brunch after a long drive, have a shower, launder your clothes and have a siesta. Depending on individuals, sometimes some people update their diaries. 3:30 tea and depart 4pm for game drive, which will be our last game drive in Savuti. We will be back from game drive after sun set which will have been enjoyed under the baobab tree (adonsonia digitata) an indigenous tree found in Africa, it is nick named the upside down tree, because the branches look like roots when it is dry or doesn’t have leafs Day 10 – 12 Chobe National Park Wake up early to take a long trip to the famous Chobe national park. It takes about 4-5hours to get to the camp site. You will notice when we drive the vegetation changes from time to time. Along the way you get mophane woodland, acacia (Mosu). The Chobe is mostly dominated by the Zimbabwe teak, very good for making furniture. On the way we see lots of animals until we get to Chobe enclave which incorporates five villages. Then we enter the park, we arrive at the camp around lunch, set up camp and have lunch. After that siesta and leave for game drive at 16oohrs along the Chobe river where we will see big herds of buffalos, elephants, pods of hippos, and prides of lions. This is where the four countries share boarders, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Chobe is a unique park because; during dry season big herds of animals congregate along the river. You will see elephants swimming from one bank to the other, buffalos crossing to the island, escaping from the prides of Chobe. Get back for an evening meal which will be your last meal with Mosu safari tours chef. We put down camp and take a slow drive out of the park which according to the booking, we have to be out of the park at 11am. We then get to our camp site in kasane which is in the town outside Chobe National Park. We put up camp, back to civilization. You can use your cellular phones, go to internet cafes, have a swim, hot showers, bar and restaurants. Generally this is where clients start paying again for their meals in any restaurant of their choice. At 3:30pm we depart for a river cruise (own expense) you buy your own drinks to take with for sunset cruise where we see crocodiles and hippos at close quarters. Bird life is magnificent, elephant swimming close by, African fish eagle feeding, nice sunset cruise. After sun set we get back to camp and go to the restaurant for dinner. Day 13- 14 Victoria Falls Wake up early to putdown camp and go to the boarder to cross at the ferry. We will be ferried by pantoon across the Zambezi River to Zambia. This is where the four countries meet. We will do our customs and immigration which will take us awhile because there is an influx of trucks on the Zambian side therefore it takes one to two hours. After custom clearance we leave the boarder to Livingstone town which is about 60km, we will arrive there around 11am, put up camp and leave to see the famous Victoria falls.
